Sony’s Playstation 5 price will depend on the price of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X. That’s a bold move Cotton, let’s see if it’ll pay off for them. It’s understandable that you want to undercut your opponents. However, waiting for them to announce a price is for you to just undercut is odd. Though this is just a rumor and we can’t be certain. According to the Playstation website, “We’ve begun to share some of the incredible features you can expect from PlayStation 5, but we’re not quite ready to fully unveil the next generation of PlayStation. Sign up below to be among the first to receive updates as we announce them, including news on the PS5 release date, PS5 price and the upcoming roster of PS5 launch games.”
It sounds like Sony still isn’t sure about what’s going on either. They’ve announced some features of the PS5. Though, it was nothing we didn’t expect. Everything we do want to know like the release date and price is still yet to be announced. We have already seen this happen though, back in 2013.
Sony’s Playstation 5 Sale Price Will Depend On The Xbox Series X
Way back in 2013, Microsoft announced the release of its Xbox One. They had a picture of it behind them and said it would be $499. Though they didn’t list the price on the screen. Only a few hours later, Sony announced their PS4 with the $399 price tag. This helped Sony get that quick boost over Microsoft, simply by waiting.
Will Microsoft make a similar mistake again though? While it may seem unlikely, there’s always a possibility. Will Sony be able to undercut Microsoft again in 2020 or will it be the other way around?
